For me, art is, above all, a communication system. It allows expressing personal feelings that can be shared with ease. I want to use it to explore emotions or nuances that cannot be easily reduced to rational language. Probably, it is the most ancestral system of expression, and the one that has more elements of that primitive language of which we always had longing.
I use the artistic manifestation with a certain psychoanalytic influence. I start manipulating the material, and a series of experiences and emotional states derive towards certain forms. There is a symbiosis between manual and subconscious abilities, and forms emerge that are the embodiment of our experiences. This allows an unusual and not always comfortable personal discovery.
It is a great miracle, and it is what consecrates the artist as a shaman of his community.
