In this exhibition, in the story that I propose, the past and future are mixed, the fear
and the reality of the protagonist. The different colors underline the two realities in
which the subject lives. The monochrome takes place in his mind and the polychrome is
his objective reality, which in turn does not cease to be a fantasy for us. Without a
fantasy in which we create it is impossible to create a story of our life experience and
without it our culture would not exist as we know it.
Finally, I would like to refer to the mirrors. The mirrors emphasize, not the real, but how we interpret reality. Without a prior idea there is no appreciation of what we see. Of course, the mirror as such does not exist. It is a convention that we accept that this black rectangle in front of the work is. In a certain way we are the mirror and at the same time the character that is looked at, since we interpret what it feels to be reflected.
As a final synthesis, we could, in this context, paraphrase Calderón and use his phrase "Life is dream and dreams, dreams are".
