The works we create are reflections of our reworking desires as we do with dreams. By objectifying them, by giving them corporeality beyond the evanescence of our mind, it allows us to confront them in real life. This is a reflection of an emotional need, to understand ourselves.
That is why I am not tempted by representations of reality beyond its symbolic character. They are archetypes that allow me to express synthesis of very significant personal experiences. And so, despite the apparent realism of his fat, his age, strength and elasticity collide with the foreseeable limits for his volume and are more a product of the subconscious of the observation of reality.
